KBUT Community Radio has taken up the cause in keeping rooms of
undead souls dressed in gowns and tuxes alive in western Colorado.
2011′s Zombie Prom will take place Friday, October 28th, at The Talk of
the Town in downtown Crested Butte, Colorado. A historic ming
town-turned ski town, Crested Butte, it’s neighbor Mt Crested Butte, and
surrounding areas are known for epic skiing, mountain biking along with
countless other outdoor opportunities. Not to be outdone is Gunnison,
30 miles south, is the home of Western State College, Cattlemen’s Days,
miles of singletrack, rivers, and some of the coldest days on record in
the continental US.

KBUT Community Radio will be celebrating 25 years of serving the
Gunnison Valley late this year. With over 50 volunteer djs, KBUT
provides crisp, fresh music shows, along with NPR and BBC news. KBUT
prides itself on ‘keeping the Gunnison Valley conneced’ to local,
regional, national and world events.
KBUT’s other longtime, well-established events like Soul Train and
the Friday Night Fish Fry will now have a fall friend; The KBUT Zombie
Prom. Stay tuned for more info regarding this year’s Prom, including
performances, zombie tips, and other brain-eating activities!
